A workshop focused on emotion and constructive dialogue in a conversation
Come join us on April 21st, 7:30 pm in Research 163 for a workshop about ways to help express yourself positively in a conversation. We are involved in discussions of one kind or another all of the time whether it is with a friend, family member, or coworker. Inevitably points will get misunderstood or an important yet tense topic will arise. This is when effective and open dialogue is most critical.
There are two important parts: how you yourself react and how you communicate this to the other person. This workshop will involve two facilitators to focus on these aspects. Suzie Carmack will be speaking about how to understand the emotions you feel and the stress that it puts on your body. Our second facilitator Derek Sweetman will introduce techniques and tips on how to communicate intent, ideas, and to open a dialogue.
Refreshments will be provided!
